AHi everyone. Hi Anna, how are you?
Hi, good.
We are here today for another episode of Lancom TV. I've got Anastasia from our marketing team with me. We are going to talk to you about Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is a tool that we both discovered a couple of months ago. Anna and I work very close together and we found the tool absolutely amazing. Isn't it Anna?
Yeah.
I brought Anna here today to kind of talk you through why that's so important for how we work and collaborate. And also what the outcomes were for us using Microsoft Teams. Let's get started.
Yep, yep.
Okay, I've got three questions for you today Anna. The first one is usually the one we always start with. Why do you think Microsoft Teams is probably the best collaboration tool we have tried so far, versus all the other tools me may have had in the past?
I love how it's one centralized platform. So we were saying in the past we had all our communications spread across different platforms and different areas. Like emails or files and things that we link.
Texts.
We have to share those documents and ask each other for those documents. And when one of us is working on a project or something, we, you know, like to work at different times on different things.
Anna's a morning person, I'm an evening person. And then I had to go through my 300 emails with Anna's name on it and go, where was that one again. Isn't it so very confusing?
Definitely, definitely. So I love that aspect of it.
Just how it encompasses everything in one place for us.
Yes.
Awesome, awesome. That's really a value point for us. How do you think it helps us and the rest of our team in the marketing department to collaborate better, to function better? What is the how for you Anna?
I feel like it helps us function as a cohesive unit. If that makes sense.
Cool. Well Said.
We're able to plan, track, have all our resources together like I was saying before.
We're on the same page all of the sudden, I know what you are working on, you know what I'm working on.
I feel like we have the same reference point to work back to.
Yes, Yes exactly.
I feel like if I'm feeling a little bit lost or, you know I'm not quite...yeah.
You feel like you know what I'm up to and vice versa.
Same here we have all of our planning and all of our tasks all in the same place. So I know what you are working on, and what I'm working on and how we can both work on different aspects to get towards the same end goal.
And also one of the things that is I guess we can check through the tools so that if we are confused by all means we can always jump in there and have a quick check. Which brings to me to the third question about features. So what are the features that stand out for you in Microsoft Teams on your day-to-day?
I love how in the task or the note sections that I can add any type of document attachment to my note directly. So say I'm at a tab and I'm making a bullet point about this task that I'm doing and making a bit more of an explainer about the document. I can then attach that document directly to that note. So it's all in one place, it's not I'm directing you to this folder and the file within that folder. It is all in one space.
Area or space...it's awesome.
You can just click on that it's kind of like an attachment to my note. I love that.
Awesome, That's fantastic. For me, I guess it's the ability to talk with you from whenever I am inside the tool. And having that conversation recorded there so I'm not having to search through in and out of the tool. Which is what I was doing before wasn't it. Back to our reference point.
As you probably can understand now, we love Microsoft teams. It has made our work interactions so much better. For some of us that work remotely or have different time zones that we are working on things. It just made it simplified and all in one place. I wouldn't see my life without Teams anymore, would you?
No. It makes each other accessible from anywhere.
