AWS OLA (Optimisation and Licensing Assessment)

AWS Optmisation and Licensing Assessment is a complimentary tool-based assessment used to evaluate your business on-premises and cloud environments, forming the basis for strategic decisions - for and against a migration to the AWS cloud.

Within the scope of your individual IT Inventory Assessment, the actual utilisation, storage usage of your systems and the traffic during operation, as well as your costs for Microsoft licenses will be analysed over a period of 2-4 weeks .

As an output from completing an OLA engagement, your business will receive a detailed report outlining an initial business case recommendation so you can start benefitting from the cloud as soon as possible!

Our Approach

AWS OLA with Lancom

Benefits of an OLA

Reduce Costs

31% average infrastructure cost savings with cloud vs on premises due to the elasticity of the cloud.

Flexible Licensing

Understand where you can eliminate unnecessary licenses and get flexibility in managing seasonal workloads and agile experimentation.

More Efficient IT

Cloud infrastructure is up to 62% more efficient than on-premise. Plus, having only the IT you need makes it easier on you.

Lower Carbon Footprint

AWS can help lower the carbon footprint of average on-premises data center workloads by nearly 80% when you migrate to the cloud.
"Completing an AWS OLA with Lancom has given us a first-look view into our cloud migration business case, and confidence to progress our strategic priority of being a cloud first business."

FAQ

1. Who is this offer for and is it really free?

This offer is for those who do not already have workloads on AWS. You must also have a minimum of 50 servers and at least 50% of your workload must be Windows-based to qualify.

2. How long does an OLA take?

The timeframe is highly dependent on the complexity of your environment. A typical OLA Inventory Assessment will take up to 6 weeks.

3. Is it secure?

Yes, very secure. We know it can be a bit daunting having someone go into your IT environment and poke around, but we have strong security measures to keep your information private.

4. Do I have to sign a fixed contract?

Whilst we would love the OLA engagement to be a first step into a continued partnership, there is no expectations of a subsequent engagement post completion of the assessment.
