October marks a remarkable milestone in the journey of Lancom Technology, as we celebrate our 35th anniversary. It is with great pride that we look back on three and a half decades of innovation, growth, and excellence. 

From our humble beginnings to becoming an established provider in the ANZ region, our success has been driven by the unwavering commitment and dedication of our people, customers, and partners. Together, we have transformed challenges into opportunities and embraced technology changes as a constant on our path to success. 

Lancom Technology was founded with a vision to create leverage through software. Over the years, we have evolved both our business approach and technology adoption. From pivoting our own SaaS solutions and turning these into global successful solutions, such as DeskDirector, through to supporting leading ANZ organisations grow, and nurturing our talent via established graduate programs – these initiatives have played a pivotal role in our sustained growth. 

As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on some of our achievements as a business and how Lancom Technology is not only succeeding by delivering value for its customers, but also the community in general. Some of these achievements include: 

Lancom’s Graduate Program 

Our investment in talent acceleration through a graduate program has been a part of Lancom’s DNA since day 1. We have supported hundreds of graduates start, develop, and grow their careers in technology over the decades. We take immense pride in cultivating an alumni network that has now progressed into advanced leadership positions within the Tech industry. 

Adopting a cloud first view 

We are extremely proud to hold the highest competencies in cloud computing, serving as a testament to our commitment to technical excellence, and continuous learning. Having started our cloud journey ten or so years ago, Lancom has been instrumental in enabling over 300 ANZ businesses move to and modernise their businesses by leveraging cloud computing. These engagements have enabled our customers to grow into new markets, establish new revenue streams, and deliver improved experiences for their employees.  

Indigitech  
Lancom is a founding partner of Indigitech alongside Intel, AWS, Education Perfect and Code Avengers. This programme provides free digital access to STEM learning for year 7 and 8 students in low-decile schools before they enter high school. The program has a particular focus on students from Māori and Pacific Island communities who are less likely to follow a career in technology. Indigitech is looking to address the digital skills and diversity gap highlighted in the Digital Skills Aotearoa report, and in 2023 has enrolled 270 teachers and 5,700 students.

Lancom Academy  

Building on the IP developed over three decades, Lancom have developed this learning platform to enable graduates in the Lancom culture of continuous learning. Our internal subject matter experts who have on-the-ground experience are consistently creating courses to supplement and accelerate learning and development. 

Academy content is self-paced and presented through a customer-facing lens, which simultaneously raises the team’s depth of understanding of Lancom’s customers and in doing so create more effective partnerships. 

Lancom Academy has become a leverage point to accelerate our employees’ time to value in terms of their ability to learn our business and our technology stack. In turn, this enables Lancom to scale as a business and provide customers with consistent delivery. 
 

Our 35th anniversary is not just a reflection of our history but a testament to our resilience, and our commitment to delivering exceptional results. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our employees, clients, partners, and stakeholders who have been an integral part of this incredible journey. Your trust and support have been the cornerstone of our success.
